The Appanoose County Historical & Coal Mining Museum resides inside the former Centerville Post Office. It is a 1903 Georgian-style building that has 3 stories of exhibits including coal mining, indian artifacts, military, postal, clothing. quilts, textiles, and many more. The research room is helpful to those working on genealogical projects.
Located at the intersection of Hwy 2 (Maple Street) and Main Street in Centerville.

This year’s theme is in celebration of the 71st Annual Pancake Day on September 28, 2019. This year we are Marching through the Years as we celebrate the anniversaries of the Centerville Municipal Band (150 years) and the Centerville School Band (100 years)!
