  • Board of Directors

    The management of the Chamber is vested in a Board of Directors composed of twelve regular members.  The Mayor of the City of Centerville and the Chairman of the Appanoose County Board of Supervisors are ex-officio members and do not have the power to vote.

    The Centerville-Rathbun Lake Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors meets on the second Tuesday of the month at Noon.


    Executive Committee

    The Executive Committee consists of the Chamber President, President-Elect, Treasurer and Past President.   It serves as the Board of Directors for Shamrock Heights Apartments and makes decisions on issues that require attention in between Board meetings.  

    The Executive Committee also serves as the nominating committee.   The Executive meeting meets as least twice a year.  


    Ambassador Committee

    The Centerville-Rathbun Lake Area Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors act as the official welcoming representatives of the chamber in recognizing new businesses and changes of ownership of local businesses.

    The Committee meets as needed and schedules Ambassador visits regularly.


    Retail Committee

    The Retail Committee consists of members engaged in the retail business.  The Committee addresses issues which impact on the retail environment of the community.  The Committee plans retail events such as Ridiculous Days sidewalk sales, holiday promotions, Pajama Party night and other activities.

    The Retail Committee meets on the third Tuesday of the month at 8 a.m. at Tangleberries on the Square.


    Appanoose County Tourism Committee

    The Appanoose County Tourism Committee administers the money collected through the lodging tax in Centerville and the unicorporated areas of Appanoose County.   The committee consists of nine members with three members appointed by the City of Centerville, three members appointed by the Appanoose County Board of Supervisors, and three members appointed by the Centerville-Rathbun Lake Area Chamber of Commerce. 

    The committee meets as needed.   


    Pancake Day Committee

    The Pancake Day Committee plans and organizes Centerville's largest festival held annuallly on the last Saturday of September.     Members are responsible for identifying and implementing fundraising activities.

    The committee meets as needed.  


    Centerville Wine Festival Committee

    The Centerville Wine Festival Committee plans and organizes the Wine and Arts Festival held on the second Saturday of June.  

    The Wine Festival Committee meets as necessary.
